Being “set apart”

On Wednesday night we were set apart by Stake President Brown and his counselors. Being “set apart” means that those with priesthood authority laid their hands on my head and set me apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to serve in the England London South Mission. I was give authority to act as well as obligations and responsibilities to be separate from worldliness and to rise above the every day in service to the young adults we will be working with in Maidstone Stake in England. We also received a blessing of health and safety during our time of service. We believe that our church leaders have the same priesthood and authority as the Apostles of Jesus Christ and that we have been given this assignment through a true Prophet of God who leads our Church today. I testify that this priesthood power is given of God and that the blessings that it brings will help and support us as we serve is His name for the next two years.
